WoW, Sarah!! Seeing the dog-eared folder & reading few words into your excellent article light bulbs started going off in my head! What a great idea! Go waaay back and look at long forgotten germ ideas that haven't been fleshed out. I bet I could get ideas if I looked at old photo albums, too - it'd transport me back in time & maybe momentarily distract me, but I bet I'd come up with ideas!

I LOVE the idea of using old photo albums for inspiration. When I find a really good research report, I'm brimming with excitement about how to use it. But then you can't do too many posts on the same topic close together so I move on to something else. I'm often surprised to find handwritten notes in margins from months before that give me the perfect blog post idea.
