Your examples are great. My personal example deals with a new client who thought our business relationship would be a mixture of business and friendship, though I had just met him. He insisted our initial meeting be dinner with his wife and family. It set the stage for him thinking that favors were a normal part of business. Could you just draft me a letter...write me a short speech..etc. For free of course...as we were "friends." Bad situation all around. Long-term pain.
