You’ve gone to the effort of creating a valuable product. You know how much your work is worth, which can make it very difficult to decide when is an appropriate time to give away something that you’ve worked so hard on.
But there are times when it makes sense to give away a copy or two of your product. Doing so can be good marketing, offering a way to get potential buyers interested. But since handing someone a free copy of your product generally means that specific individual won’t personally purchase your product later on, you need to choose your opportunities carefully, to ensure that you’re only offering free products to people who can influence future sales.
