Maybe the 5 answers reflect the fact that the grocery store employees have a hard, thankless, Low-Paying job. Maybe that makes them develop a passive-aggressive attitude about inane questions like: "Why is there a harp in the store?" I'm quite sure this is why the baggers always sabotage bagging the groceries - to take out their passive-aggressive frustrations out on the customer (because they hate their job). Did you expect a cheerfully rehearsed speech on the boss' reason for the harp?- and that assumes that the boss even mentioned the reasoning to the employees - the ol' "need to know" bit bosses love so much.
