I will celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit on May 1 by serving my own twist of a half-and-half lemonade with iced Russian Caravan tea. For inspiration, watch the film with Will Arnett on how Arnold Palmer created his own “lemonade-and-iced tea beverage that has become a piece of Americana.”
I hope that the true American spirit will come to field of business and I will therefore organize an event on Lemonade Day with my new project called Americanized. Here is an excerpt from the article, Government regulation: Lemonade Day done wrong, by Nicolas S. Martin:

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the post on Lemonade Day, the power of entrepreneurship and the problem with too much regulation. It's one thing to provide regulations that protect citizens and quality of life, but when these regulations extend to preventing something as apparently harmless as a young person's lemonade stand on a day meant to celebrate entrepreneurship, perhaps things have gone too far. Thanks for sharing this post with the BizSugar community.

Heather: Thanks for your comment on my post. The state should protect our individual rights, but it shouldn't be intruding in our daily life and business activities with all the red-tape, regulations, coercion in form of taxes, etc. It is a sad situation when bureaucracy is crushing down on young entrepreneurs. Has America lost its soul of free enterprise?
