Wow, Rachel. A real blast from the past. Actually, my memory of narrowcastng goes back to the 80's, particularly when radio stations were separated rigidly into format--classic rock, country, easy listening, oldies. Of course, preoccupation with numbers depends, or should depend, on your business model. I suspect a site selling advertising space needs much more traffic than a blog for a plumbing service or someone offering marketing advice. (Though, of course, in the second two examples the right kind of traffic is very important.) So the best advice is knowing what you want for your Website first. Thanks for sharing!
