Hello Susan, this spam thing is really getting on every bloggers nerve and, it all seems as if there is no solution to it. I don't think that removing Akismet is a good idea because, its still trying when it comes to fighting spam comments. You just need to back it up with another plugin. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.

Spam is definitely terrible, I put Askimet back on my blog two days ago, and I can already see a difference in the spam comments I get.
