All great points. We might also mention that too many links from unrelated Websites and so many of them appearing all at once might just draw the attention of Google ultimately hurting your Website's search rank and traffic. Thanks to the new Penguin update Google rolled out last week, there's a danged that even relevant anchor text from these forums if wrapped in content that otherwise seems obviously unrelated could also land you in hot water with the search engine. It's more important than ever to pay attention to the quality of the sites linking to you and paying someone for more than 1,000 links is NOT a step in the right direction.
