Where should you place a guest blogger’s biography – at the top or the bottom of the post? There are, of course, pros and cons to whatever placement you choose. Let’s look at each on in turn.

If you put "this is a guest post by___" as the first sentence of the post, that's what shows up when you use bookmarking sites like this one. That's why I installed the plugin to keep the bio box separate and out of the submission summaries. :)

Hi David.

Sometimes at the top it says "This is a guest post by ____" and the bio is at the end. That way you know it's a guest author & who it is up front (which I do appreciate). If it was a VG article, I'll definitely check out the bio underneath (maybe if it's really bad, too).

LOL! I asked David this question on Twitter which prompted the guest post from him. The responses on the blog seem to be split so far.

Nice guest post!

I think if it is a guest-poster who has very impressive credentials, put it at the top. If it's someone like me who talks a bit of business, but mostly about flatulence, boogers and other weird things, hide it way, way, way down at the bottom.

Having my tonsils out tomorrow, so I'll see you in five days or so.

Looking forward to some hot nurses and ice-cream!

Yoni
