San Francisco based company, GameOn Technology, just raised $1.5 million from investors including football legend Joe Montana.

The money will be used to develop their platform and expand their team which currently only consists of 8 employees.

GameOn came about during the 2012 World Series when the founders were spread out around the country and trying to communicate with each other while watching the games.

They tried out group chats, email threads, and WhatsApp groups.

They soon realized there was no efficient way to talk about the game while keeping up with what was happening and so the idea was formed.
