Great to know that you are planning to start a crowd funding campaign to promote your book - am sure you will do good.
Yes - for the perks, do a few early bird offers for the perks with limited edition book downloads. If you are planning to sell your book for say - $25. Do a early bird limited edition for as low as $15 and limit the numbers to 50 or so. Once they are all sold out, do the next one for $16 and so on.
Go for branded perks, that offers your product and related things for example: hard-cover, voice books, mention on the about page of the book etc. rather than Tshirs, mugs, etc.
