Buying online has become consumers' new shopping habit. High street stores have felt this change. But is this purely down to the advancement of eCommerce?

Ivan: I am glad that you liked the new word! ;) In a way, there are no must at all, but if you don't adopt, what will happen in the long run?

Ivan: I don't think you should blame e-commerce for anything! I say that you should think "glocal" (both global and local). With an online presence, the high street could develop from "mainstream(street)" to an interactive business both on the net and physically.

Martin,

Glocal - that's a good word to use in my future blog post :)

Yes - I assume businesses pointing fingers on ecommerce as the culprit of their decline is just cynics who don't want to admit that going online is a MUST for businesses of any sizes.
