Agreed. I've coached some sales and business development managers who started slow in their first year. But when they've learned to properly generate qualified leads and have realised the strategies and habits that work, they close deals one after another effortlessly.

When you race your way through the process, there will be more chances that you'll only be focused on the revenue without developing or improving your skills as a sales person which is equally important not only to the business but also to your growth.
