There is no place to hide in the low- to no-growth economy of the last few years. Salespeople and sales organizations can neither ride an expansion wave nor hide behind recessionary data.

Great post. A growing gap between good sales and great sales could eventually spell more trouble for b2b companies than a notation in a study. It could eventually be the difference between making future sales and not making any at all. Companies don't necessarily stop buying from world class organizations even in a recession. It's different with so-so organizations they could go either way with. When a cheaper or better alternative presents itself, they will be quick to make a switch. I agree the key here is focus on the customer and I think other attributes must flow from that. Thanks to Michelle Mangen for sharing this one with the BizSugar community!
