Kosio: Good to hear. Do you use the Pomodoro technique with work for about 20-25 minutes and then a short break?

I use something similar/different that I call 50-10-50-30. You can read more in it here - http://blog.highperformancelifestyle.net/energy-management/

Let me know if it helps.

Kosio: Thanks for your input! I have to become more of a morning person, so I can fit in the new habit of writing on a book.

Have you heard about BlankPage and 750words?

Yeah, I've heard about both. I don't like to over-complicate things though so I don't use any fancy tools when it comes to writing...it's distracting.

What helps me is what I mentioned before, a distraction-free environment and writing in full-screen mode (I just find it easier).

As Wordpress says on the bottom of every post "Just Write" :)

Kosio: Thanks for your reply. Do you have other tips on how to start a book writing habit. I have set the publishing date: December 16, 2015.

From my personal experience, set a goal of writing just 1 page per day, preferably in the morning. Some days you are going to write 25, others just 1. The idea is to:

a) train the writing behavior

b) set a low goal so it does not feel intimidating and it does not foster procrastination

Let me know if that helps!

I will test Toggl and time work activities. Maybe I could use it for timing my book writing too?

For sure you can use it for that, Martin! It is a great little tool (despite their odd-looking current version of their home page :))
