I found your post quite interesting...I have to admit that it drives me mad when people want me to stop procrastinating. I use my procrastination as a personal motivational tool...and frankly I just can't get by best work done until I feel the deadline more consciously. So I plan for that contingency..it's part of my process, and I have never yet let down a project or failed to meet a deadline when using this technique...however I have missed deadlines when trying NOT to procrastinate. The problem arises not from procrastination, but when you have to work in teams with others and they can't understand your process...you have to be able to adapt. And procrastination gets such a bad name, but really the problem is not working effectively. I know plenty of people that never get the results they desire or the results I do who work consistently, starting early, and in all the proper and acceptable ways. I'm sure you do too!

I'm with you, my procrastination is my motivational tool too. Who knows how we work under certain circumstances better than us? We know what we're capable of and how we function.
