My childhood was a very regular one: I hung around with my friends, went to school and had a lot of activities going on on a daily basis.

When I look at my childhood, I’m able to see the productivity lessons my parents taught me. And although I had a hard time following them when I was a kid, and I can now truly value them as the cornerstones of my productivity.

"Take good care of your stuff" is powerful. It permeates through every facet of your life. I see a lot of folks that do the opposite, and the "impression" it sends is quite striking (and invisible to that person in many cases).

My mom does not nag us if the house is a mess but instilled into our minds to return things where they belong . The drawers , cabinets, and shelves are labeled to help us find what we are looking for and she expects us to return or store them properly after use. All of us (including my father) appreciate this rule . In this way, everyone can easily find what he is looking for and thus saves time and efforts.
