You are right about using what you do have and not waiting for perfect conditions to start. There is no perfect time but to start with what you have and then you will get what you need later on. This is something that I firmly believe. Many times people always focus on what they do not have and they never get started. Plus, it makes you feel awful. Use what you do have and be grateful for it. When you have that can do attitude great things begin to happen.

I'll be the first to agree that, especially for entrepreneurs who are often trying to achieve what others have said cannot be done, being positive is key. I'm curious though whether you have ever seen business leaders allowing optimism to lead them into unrealistic expectations that may actually sabotage their success. In other words, successful entrepreneurs (and managers, I would hope) are both optimistic and smart. How do we make sure our optimism isn't blinding us to legitimate concerns that need to be addressed so our companies can move forward?
