Writer and former entrepreneur Hugh Aaron argues that money cannot be an end in and of itself when running or creating a business. The pursuit of money alone, he says, is at the heart of our current economic crisis. When money becomes the only focus often the quality of work one does for one's company disappears. Like the artist or scientist, Aaron wants a world in which business people pursue their goals motivated by a love for what they do not simply making as much money as possible. Entrepreneurs and small business owners, of course, must be motivated by a passion for what they do in order to be successful. Read the rest of Aaron's comments below about how to re-align values to put priorities in the right perspective.
