Your post also rminds me of one story I think about Everest. Apparently one climber got into trouble and others passed him by and did not render help. While we need to stay up to date with the tools, it is important to not forget why we use them.

It's sad but from what I've read there is a huge debate on the ethical behavior of those climbing Everest. It seems that many who were in trouble were left to fend for themselves and die. Seems like reaching the peak was a bigger goal than rescuing fellow human beings!

Thanks for the welcome back! I will be blogging once a week perhaps for the time being. I will actually be off of work until January at the earliest as I have some obstacles to overcome. Penning an occasional blog however is proving to be quite therapeutic!
