A diagram based on your goal and discipline levels. These levels combined are creating your productivity patterns.

Dragos,

Thanks for your reply. I am now subscribing to your Twitter and blog stream. I am reading chapter 5 at the moment.

Be sure to let us all know. It sounds exciting. I also have to admit needing some tough talk sometimes in order to stick to my goals and not give in to laziness.

Well, it would be on my blog, that's for sure, so subscribing would be a good option. And, believe it or not, everybody needs some tough talk sometimes in order to stick with their goals ;-) Maybe it's just human nature.

Hi everybody, thanks for the nice words, this is by far the nicest community I've been so far (and I've been around for a while, talk about digg, reddit or SU).

To make things clear, yes, I do write a book and it's almost done. I expect it to be (self)published - meaning it will be an ebook - around September 20th. Around 65 pages, and based on one of the series in my blog. I really can't wait to get it out :-)

Dragos,

I am getting curious after reading McLaughlin's comment. What kind of book are you writing? How would you compare your productivity map with David Allen's matrix of self-management in his book, Making It All Work?

Didn't read David Allen's latest. The productivity map in that post is based on personal experience. It worked for me ;-)

I'm not sure that he is writing a book, I just know that he should be. :-)

Dragos,

I love the graphs... but I have to say, they were a bit hard to swallow. Only because I'm behind schedule and it's Monday morning, not a nice way to start the week. So I felt the "sloppy" and "undisciplined" fingers pointing at me. :)

Now seriously, I think it is always good to remind us to go for the high goals. I just realized this weekend that one of my recent goals was only aimed at the half way point up the mountain... and I didn't even realize it when I made it. I needed to be pushed on another mountain and see things from a different perspective to realize it. :)

Thank you for your article!

Well, don't be too hard on yourself. There is this saying in Romania: on Mondays, even the grass won't grow. Thanks for the nice words :-)
