You read it right. Carmine Gallo's post at BusinessWeek.com is a fairly thorough explanation of how NOT to give a business presentation. From obvious disinterest to calling attention to your own mistakes and amateurish use of presentation tools. Carmine's post is a laugh riot because it's a very vivid description of the presentation from hell. "9. Don't bother with a backup plan. If you need a live Internet connection to demo a site, don't bother making a screen shot of the site in case the connection doesn't work. That way, you'll be at a complete loss for words when the connection fails."
With that said, think about the business opportunity for a tech entrepreneur creating a simple system so the gadgets could talk to each other, e.g. projector and computer. Why don't we have an industry standard for this kind of equipment?
