Hi Ellen,

Whether male or female, I think leading a company always entails a special kind of pressure, the kind that comes with having no one else to pick up the slack in time of trouble. Yes, you can hire employees, but at the end of the day, it isn't their company it's yours, and you're the one who has to pick up the pieces at the end of the day when everyone else goes home.

Thanks for commenting! It certainly does bring a certain pressure and that can be compounded when the business owner experiences a major personal crisis. This is what my co-writer, Chris Vasiliadis and I are exploring with this book project and we look forward to sharing what 50 women who are small business owners discovered about themselves, their businesses and their crises.
