Just like produce at your favorite supermarket or farmer’s market, content and information introducing you and your expertise to members of your social media community, whether BizSugar or any other, must be tantalizing enough to make visitors want to return again and again and of sufficient quality to inspire trust on the part of potential clients and customers about the quality you offer.

Great way of expressing the tips Shawn. One tip I learnt from our local grocer is that he remembers past conversations and asks how did the recipe go if I had asked for his recommendation or advice over what to use in a dish. In social media it is not always easy but continuing and remembering past conversations can strengthen the relationships.

Shawn,

Big coincidence: I just saw that you live in the Lehigh Valley. Before moving to Israel, I lived in Easton. Easton High School class of '84. Anyhow, if you are a long time resident: do you remember Joe Carcione from Channel 6 News, the "Greengrocer?" He was a great Italian guy that used to teach viewers about shooping for fruits and veggies. I was going to ask you about the Lehigh Valley and then the article became the impetus.

Shawn,

Awesome connection to the Greengrocer! It's an excellent analogy.

My wife and I bought peaches the other day. They looked perfect. When we got home, everyone was rotting inside. Too much appearance and not enough substance. Businesses can look great on the outside, great on the website and great with what they say, but if not fresh inside, they are a paper tiger.

As you state, the samples and the chatting are crucial, I believe the two most important factors in keeping customers coming back.

Thanks for a truly enjoyable read!

Yoni
