Being a guest blogger is a great way to build expert credibility for your brand and it’s also a great way to gain subscribers to your own blog. When I write a guest blog post, my goal is always to blow the reader’s mind with the fabulous information I’m providing them. It’s easy to tell when you've actually hit the mark because readers will take the time to comment and they’ll jump at the chance to follow your posts and visit your blog.

Guest blogging is really very good in terms of traffic and connections but before you start guest blogging on peoples sites, its always good to have some good contents on your before starting so that the people that will come to your site via your guest posts will have something good to read on arrival. I've tried guest blogging and I found out that guest posts that work the best are those that are able to bridge the audience on the host's blog to your blog. This involves coming up with a kickass blog post on your own blog first before publishing a guest post on another blog. Thus, like what you have mentioned, Shelley, understanding the target audience on the host blog is key.

Nevertheless, I definitely feel guest blogging is a powerful way of inviting traffic to your website or blog.
