Twitter's IPO generated a lot of speculation about the social media site's ability to generate revenue. Yes, Twitter is very popular with an active user base of 241 million people. This growth, however, is slowing, as telling statistics from Q3 to Q4 2013 show.

Charging for a Tweet? Seriously? I don't think that's going to help Twitter or users in any way.

Why not? I am OK with Twitter starting to charge per tweet if that will lead to less spam and that I can follow more tweeps, without any follow limit.
