Do you have small business startup fears to overcome? What fears do you face when considering starting a small business of your own? Do you fear failure or something else? Do you have a list of what scares you the most? Don't let any of these fears destroy your small business ambition. Instead, check out guide Susan Ward's "Don’t Let Fear of Failure Stop You From Starting a Small Business" in About.com's Small Business Canada. It's important not to let fear stop you from fulfilling your dreams.

Great post - thanks. Fear is a major factor for everyone. It is even worse in Ireland where things like bankruptcy are held against people until the end of time (almost!) and it is seen as a failure of the person. My view is that we all learn from our mistakes and become better business people. If you are fearful of failure or are too fearful to even get started out of the blocks, you can do things to organise yourself to prevent, or at least mitigate against the risk of, failure. Have a plan with achievable goals. Do some research on what you want to do and make sure there is a market there for you to address before you invest huge amounts of time and money. Talk to people who have "been there and done that".... the list is endless. I wish you well!
