A list of entrepreneurs that may not have been teenage millions but after graduating college they certainly became wildly successful. Use this list as added motivations that anyone can become a successful entrepreneur.

I attended Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH, between 1997 - 2000 and earned (Magna Cum Laude) a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Delta Mu Delta honors society). I have had an entrepreneurial spirit since early age, but I got plenty of fuel for my soul during my studies due to the fact that many of the teachers were business minded and that we studied plenty of business cases during three intensive years. We also did several field trips to businesses in the area, e.g., Stonyfield Farm in Londonderry.

The challenge that academia has is to apply theoretically knowledge to the business world. It is also important to integrate a sound business philosophy in the future entrepreneurs. That is why studies in business ethics and capitalism is important. See he Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism for a great example.

You've spoken well Heather. Having a collage degree is certainly not a criteria to succeed in life. He who want to succeed will surely succeed with or without a collage degree. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community man.

Hi Grant,

Nice to see the other side of the coin once in a while. Sure, there are those big names, the people who made it without a degree. But I'm not sure it's best to press that point as we sometimes seem to these days. There are many ingredients to success, and the ingredients may or may not from time to time include a college degree. Thanks for sharing and for being a part of the BizSugar community.
