Miranda: Thanks for posting this eye-opening post! I put a value on my freelance work in silver. My standard rate is 1 kg of fine silver for 1/2 day of work (4 hours of effective time). The price is set according to the silver price at the time of the order. This is a philosophical statement. What do you really get for the paper (fiat) currency in today's world? Please think about it...
