12 Best Content Writing Tools For SEO
"I use quite a few different tools. Not sure I could wittle it down to a single favorite since there are so many parts to my content strategy. Surfer, Frase, and BuzzSumo are all excellent and excel in different areas (plenty of crossover between Surfer/Frase though). SE Ranking wasn't in the post but that's a great tool for keyword research which is super important. Frase is a particularly interesting one though. I've used their tool a lot over the years but never tried their Google Search Console integration till recently. It actually crunches the data and highlights opportunities for your existing content. For ages, I was doing this manually directly in Google Search Console. Here's why this is useful: When we first do keyword research, we have to use tools that estimate the number of searches each keyword will get. These numbers aren't always accurate. Sometimes they can be way off. So, it's possible to optimize content for a few keywords when there are other keywords that drive more traffic. And it's also possible that keywords people search for change over time. This is why I dig through Google Search Console data after content has been live for 3-6 months (or longer ideally). It tells me the exact keywords I should be optimizing for and gives a more accurate idea of what traffic is available for those keywords. But it's a lengthy process. With Frase, I can apply filters to the data to show me just the best opportunities for ranking improvements."26 Best Free SEO Tools To Grow Your Organic Traffic
"On the surface, it looks relatively easy. And it looks like it is a keyword that gets searched for. But there are other factors to consider as well. Such as links/referring domains, strength of competing pages, etc. Also, understanding the intent behind these keywords/search queries is super important. It's possible to go for easy keywords and fail to rank because Google is ranking content that is framed differently or is a different type of content. For example, it'd be near impossible to rank the homepage of a SaaS social media scheduling tool for a keyword like "best social media scheduling tools" - because that query indicates that users are looking for a list, not a specific brand. Some keywords serve as signposts - and the first page of results is designed to cater to multiple intents. A good example of this is "WordPress landing pages" - this query used to rank only roundups of landing page plugins. Now, it's a signpost and includes roundups of plugins, themes, tutorials, and sometimes specific products. - Adam "Subscribe
How To Build A Winning Social Media Marketing Strategy
"The strategy is the “top-level” ongoing approach to social. Campaigns tend to be run for a limited amount of time, and sometimes have more specific goals/audience than the top-level strategy. A lot of the same thinking goes into both of them though. Nope! Don’t have time to watch webinars unfortunately. "
