Applications are starting to take away the spotlight from traditional websites as our go to choice for information. Applications are also starting to take shape into full service concierge services for the hotel industry.

Every two weeks, my hubby needs to get up at 4:30 a.m. for a very important appointment. It is critical that he make the appointment and we don't always trust alarm clocks that may or may not go off. About two years ago after my cellphone died in the middle of the night resulting in a missed appt., we started calling the concierges at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem and asking for a wake-up call. We explained that we are not staying at the hotel, yet they agreed with a smile, even laughing at our brashness and honesty. Twice a month, without fail, they call with the wake-up. That's service with a smile!
