Hi-

I think that calling people and asking if they want to receive your newsletter, a free report, or ongoing articles, ideas, and offers is a good way to build your email list. You can also send an opt in email- basically emailing them and asking if they want to be included on your list. To do this right, they actually have to take action (opting in) to be included.

Good article. I have not tried the last tip, which is to contact every business connections in my rolodex and ask if they are interested in signing up for my newsletter. Will this be a turn off to most of them? Anyone tried it before?
