I didn't know switching the AC like that can affect the immune system. I just thought, at worst, it was annoying. I didn't know it can have an impact on one's health.

There are actually varying viewpoints on the effects of temperature on sickness, but from the reading I did while writing this, it seems that lower temperatures are correlated with sickness based on a possible compromise of the immune system.
