Some large companies are getting leaner by cutting less experienced workers, and keeping their more experienced core regardless of age. There is similar trend in smaller businesses. Owners who traditionally filled lower and mid-level positions by seeking younger workers are more inclined to hire people in their 50s and 60s. What is causing this shift?
