I really enjoyed your article. It made me think that with the current job market, I think turnover may not be as high and organizations are experiencing a more damaging issue....floaters who have decided to stop doing anything productive.

When you look at the time and effort to identify and check these employees out of the system, it would be much easier to place more resources to helping employees feel engaged in the workplace.

Agree about the problem of floaters. I read a research that this type of behavior is viral so even good employees start to loose their attitude.

Thank you! I've just finished another article about "HR Turnover KPI". Some interesting findings that are relevant:

1. "Turnover" KPI is useless. It worth measure "High-performance Turnover" and decrease it (e.g. keep talents in your company).

2. To keep talents in company, one need to ... improve their engagement.

Conclusion: "High-performance Turnover" is a great KPI to measure your progress on the way of achieving higher employee engagement.
