I’ve done a few videos talking about how to attract, retain, and train top talent in your organization because we all know that the people working in your business are the key to its success. No matter how amazing an owner/manager you are, however, eventually you will need to fire someone and/or someone will resign and it’s important to have a system in place for managing that employee’s departure.

I’m not a lawyer or an HR expert, so you should be sure to consult someone who is familiar with federal and state laws regarding exactly what you must do and when, but here are some basic guidelines to help make the employee’s departure run as smoothly as possible.
