Online business and marketing revolves heavily around the activity of establishing yourself as a subject matter expert. Blogging, podcasting, and social media can all aid in this work, and it is truly available for anyone to do. Flood fighting puts us on the opposite side of that fence. In the case of a flood, we need to rely on the experts like engineers and contractors that understand water, and what will need to be done to keep it at bay. I saw a PBS documentary years ago on flooding in the US - if the show was right, many such disasters are because we built our homes & businesses on what are natural 'flood plains'. Sad, but it's what used to be called "Progress" - like deforesting suburban 'sprawl' to build another strip mall, or drilling in the ocean. (I recently saw a "Sea Hunt" where Lloyd Bridges, as 'Mike Nelson' was proud to have worked on the 1st Gulf oil rig. It ran from '57-'61, when that was indeed viewed as "Progress". Which reminds me of the beloved Johnny Weissmueller "Tarzan" movies I grew up watching - they're unwatchable now, the world has changed too much.)
