Twitter, Facebook and even BlackBerry Messenger have taken a lot of blame for the riots in London and also in Manchester. The question is who is the culprit, these types of massively well-liked communication sites, or possibly the users themselves? It is typical human actions to merely shift the responsibility to another person. It's already been used on social networking sites and I think that it really is unfair to come up with that reasoning while not seriously looking into the matter.
It should be taken into consideration that these social media sites are only means of communication, they cannot interact with the users any further than an update here or there, or even an account ban for example, these sites are only links between multitude of users. It is not only to pin the consequence on the service provider - blame those people who are misusing the service.
