Great post! I like the bit about the "white space". I think great marketing is sometimes like abstract painting: Master the common methods, the literal, the "best practices", then throw them out the window!

So true, Jackie! And while you certainly want your brand strategy to be "logical," I'm not certain it's the best place to start when creating an idea for a brand that is totally original.

Thanks Heather,

The white space aspect really hit a nerve for me. Artists by nature appreciate the space of whats not there, something that more "logical" business practices underutilize.

Like they say, know the rules...then break them!
