How much do consumers care about environmentally friendly products or services? While some shoppers are passionate about the issue, a new Ipsos poll conducted with discount site RetailMeNot.com shows many more are lukewarm.

I'm a big one for shopping with reusable bags at the supermarket, often check products to select those that are best for the earth etc. (when my budget will allow for it.) This said, I think it really depends upon the consumer and businesses, as you say, really need to make those decisions based on understanding the customers they serve and whether green products are likely to appeal.
