The bottom line is that you can’t sell anything, no matter how good you are at selling, or how great your product is, or how efficient your supply chain is, if no one walks into your store, finds your website, or gives you a call. This is the purpose of marketing, to create a message, brand, and reputation that allows you to get in front of potential buyers.
