Thanks Duncan. I didn't mention it in there, but now the search engines want to start keeping track of what a particular author has written across sites. My guess is that if they can do that for a particular article, it has the potential to increase trust/rankings - which makes using a real name even more important.

Good points, Chris!

It really bugs me when the author is listed as 'admin', or there's no attribution at all. It's a real turn-off.
