Making 2009 the best year in sales is easier than you may think. It’s all about realizing that what you think and how you act have a far bigger impact on your success than the economy does, says Nathan Jamail, president of the Jamail Development Group and author of The Sales Leaders Playbook.

Great post. However, you might add that it's important to distinguish between a new program that is simply a fad and a new and better way of doing things that actually works. For example, if e-mail and involvement on social platforms like LinkedIn actually lets your business access customers around the world for your business who might have otherwise been more difficult or expensive to reach, hopefully you wouldn't argue that its better to deal only with customers in walking or driving distance on whom you can make an in-person sales calls.
