Increasing conversions is an important factor to the success of any online store. Everything you test should have a focus on increasing conversions. Up selling and cross sell are one way to do this, but bombarding potential customers with additional offers and promotions before they get to the checkout page can prove to be frustrating and may only help to drive them away.
