This can certainly be the case, however, the level of service is also important. If my bank screws up my account, requires an unreasonable minimum balance and slaps on unreasonable penalties without telling me in advance, it doesn't matter that two of the tellers and the branch manager say hello to me and are pleasant when I come in.
