Why "Value Propositions" Are Useless

Changing the label does not change the deed. If you are leading with a value proposition, you are pitching. Why not use your inherent value to drive a buying conversation instead?

Tibor: You have written a thought provoking piece! ;) I like the sound of value proposition due to the fact that I am a trader in matter & spirit, achieving values in my worklife. In a way, I don't want to be pitched to. I have heard so many sales pitches during the years as a purchaser. The trinity for a purchaser: quality, price and lead-time.
