When I first spotted the title of this post by copywriter Michel Fortin, I knew it was an important topic for the small business community. No doubt Michel knew the title of his post alone would be provocative. But no matter how many people might find the question itself a bit offensive, remember that if such ideas are out there in the public at large, they must certainly be addressed. As a person who has been involved in both small business as an entrepreneur and a careers in which I worked for others, it often amazes me that anyone not in business for themselves and forced to bend to the whims of an employer could possibly see those who work for themselves as dishonest. After all, small business owners have the power to make decisions about the work they will and won't do in a way that employees really do not. Still, I sometimes think a massive re-education process is due on what business does for our societies and our world. What do you think think of this question and how would you answer it in your own business.
