Many business owners go into founding a company with an expectation of a certain level of income — the goal is to live comfortably and take care of family, rather than to create a financial empire. This sort of business is known as a ‘lifestyle business.’ It’s a rather new term, for something that is very common.
But there is something of a debate: are people who are in business specifically to build something that can support them and their families, rather than with bigger expectations, truly entrepreneurs?

I knew a lot of personality living in a virtual business.

I'd say that's very accurate, and it matches closely the conclusion in my article. But it's a question that I've heard time and again. If there are people asking it, we need to be prepared to respond.

Hi Thursday. Here at BizSugar, we don't make much of a distinction between small business owners and entrepreneurs, especially not from the standpoint of scale. Just like other entrepreneurs, small business owners find a need and fill it. Do others in the community have thoughts on this?
