Talking about pen and paper, I think you will enjoy my post, Back to Basics.
"I will go back to basics and use a low-tech solution:
* Stack of index cards with a clip, a.k.a a Hipster PDA. I am using pre-printed to-do cards by Stiernholm Consulting.
* Small pens. I am using a TEC pico pen and a Fisher space pen.
* Notebooks. I am using Moleskine notebooks."

Great examples and I never would have thought of the perfume, although I do like it. I have my desk near a window and it makes all the difference having natural light.
As an alternative to the hiking as I leave just near a beach, it is amazing what ideas you can come up with and it is very peaceful which is handy when you get a little stressed.
