I agree if you mean the person with the most personality in the room at any given time. If the CEO is across town in a suite, they don't have quite so much influence as a co-worker 10 feet away. As an employee, I never gave a hoot in hell about the CEO located just 10 miles away, but my co-workers definitely did affect me.
